Catchin’ Up On Etsy

I’ve spent the better part of my weekend working on Etsy. Now that my free shipping offer has run out, I needed to rethink how I was going to charge for shipping and had become concerned about insurance, especially with international shipping. So I made my decision, went with GSI, a third party insurance system that’s cheaper than USPS and also insures international packages. So, the next step was creating the shipping templates on Etsy and adding them to each of my items. I tuned my cable tv to Holiday music and spent yesterday afternoon updating both shops. I also tweaked a few pictures I wasn’t happy with and added centimeters to a lot of my necklaces and artwork for my European buyers. The Day Job is getting busy with year end things and I wanted to get my shops in order.
Feels good when you set a goal and accomplish it!

Here’s a new Charm N Bead necklace I just posted, called Red Dragon.

I’ve been working on an Icestorm Charm N Bead necklace (very appropriate, since my old stomping grounds, near Boston, had a wicked ice storm last weekend) but with the holidays approaching at a gallup, I haven’t had much time to work on it. Hopefully, I’ll be posting that and maybe a bracelet or two, within the next week.

And while you’re online, take a look at The Husbands’ holiday blog entry, Hell Yeah, Virginia! It’ll put you in a great holiday mood!

Christmas Rushed!

Wow, do I feel boring lately. Didn't realize I hadn't blogged in so long! The Day Job has started getting really busy and stressful and that’s not likely to let up till next April!

Speaking of The Day Job, I recently celebrated my 20th anniversary with the company. Here I am with the pres, Mike Paulsin.

We get to pick from a catalog of gifts for our anniversaries divisible by 5 and I finally entered the 21st Century and got an MP3 player. As with all electronics, it’s been a challenge to figure out synching and such and I still haven’t taken the time to learn how to download pictures, but I like it. I’m currently listening to Barack Obama read his own audiobook, “The Audacity of Hope”, with Carrie Fishers’ “Wishful Drinking” on deck.

I love a blog with photos, so here I am with some coworkers, taking a photo op with Santa in our lobby.

*Sigh* I’m in one of my heavy phases. The Husband and I are trying to keep our weight stable through New Year’s, then jump on the weight loss band wagon with a good portion of humanity in January.

Jewelry wise, I’ve been working mostly on Christmas presents lately, so I can’t show anything here. Pretty soon, I’ll be able to post a pic or two of the Christmas cards I made. All I can say is, Martha Stewart makes the best glitter in the universe--very fine and lusciously shiny!

Holiday Tip: Make some time for yourself every day. That could mean reading a chapter of a book, watching the soap you Tivo’d or playing with your cats, etc, etc. Your blood pressure will thank you!
